Kaylie and Michael’s winter wedding at Spruce Mountain Ranch was one I won’t soon forget!
I met Kaylie and Michael last year at Rylie and Dalton’s wedding in Iliff, Colorado, and had to opportunity to get to know them through their engagement photos and later wedding planning.
Spruce Mountain Ranch was a perfect fit for Kaylie and Michael’s classy country wedding style. From the wide open fields, to the distant mountains, to the rustic reception halls, nothing says Colorado better. They had the most beautiful January day with over 200 guests to celebrate with them.
Kaylie and Michael decided to do a first look at the
entrance to Trey’s Vista just before the ceremony. We caught their reactions as Kaylie walked through the beautiful handcrafted wooden doors where Michael was waiting to see his bride. They enjoyed a moment together before exchanging their vows privately in front of the doors, and then we took advantage of the sweeping mountain views for their bridal portraits.
The ceremony took place outside on the courtyard, in front of a romantic and majestic stone fireplace. With hot chocolate and blankets for warmth , their family, friends, and corgi pups watched Kaylie walk down the aisle to her beaming groom. During the ceremony, the bride and groom did a really unique “branding ceremony” which I had never seen before. They had a personalized brand created, and made their union permanent by burning their initials into a wooden sign that will hang at their home.
After an evening filled with dancing and celebration, including a garter auction, we ended the night with a few photos outside under the open skies and twinkle lights of the ranch.
Thank you, Kaylie and Michael, for inviting me to celebrate your Spruce Mountain Ranch Wedding with you. Congratulations, and I wish the both of you a lifetime of happiness.
